Rev. Dr. Portia Kuzanga is an ordained elder in the North East Conference of the Global Methodist Church and is currently an affiliate member with the Zimbabwe annual conference of the Global Methodist Church. She brings with her over 20 years of pastoral experience in different settings, both in Zimbabwe and the United States. Her last Position in the U.S was assistant pastor as well as youth and young adult director. Currently, she helps with pastoral training and workshop programs in Zimbabwe and serves as the Superintendence chairperson for the conference.

Portia has a passion and giftedness for preaching and teaching the scripture in a way that promotes the spreading of scriptural holiness and guides people through their spiritual journeys. As a leader, she believes in doing church together, visioning together, and moving together as one true congregation in love. Her way of doing ministry is by accompaniment- a way of being and walking with others, and by nudging – meeting people in their context and nourishing their souls. She holds degrees from Central Methodist University, Duke Divinity School, and the Evangelical Seminary of Kairos University. Dr. Kuzanga's academic focus is on the theology of human brokenness, wholeness, and flourishment. Here she integrates theology, psychology, philosophy, and the healing love of God revealed in Christ to help individuals to confront their brokenness, find therapy, build resilience, and be replenished in a way that promotes wholeness and flourishing. Portia is blessed with two beautiful children who currently reside in Pennsylvania with her church family. Nigel Tadiwanashe Kuzanga, a young man in his second year of community college, and Virginia Tavonga Kuzanga, a beautiful girl in 8th grade. God willing, they all will be joining the Burlington GMC community. As a small family that has experienced the ups and downs of life, they are deeply dependent on Christ, the strong rock that will never fail. They all have the fiber of faith that never gives up—trusting in God through it all! Indeed, this small family is excited to be part of the Burlington GMC Community, to witness and experience what God is up to, and what he is already doing in Burlington. God bless you!
