Hi! My name is Amy Osner and I am the Director of Children’s Ministry here at BMC. I’ve been leading in this role since August of 2021 and couldn’t be more grateful to serve our community/church in this way. We are continuously growing, flowing with new ideas and ways to instill faith in our little disciples. Outside of BMC, I am the Social Worker at Coffey Health System and that role comes with a lot of twists and turns. I find that even though BMC + the hospital keeps me busy, it provides a nice balance of grace and sunshine in my professional life. My educational background is a little diverse. I have dual bachelors in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Wichita State University with a Sign Language Minor. Additionally, I have a Masters in Clinical Counseling from Emporia State University. With that graduate degree, I hold two professional licenses: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Personally, I am married to an incredible man named Tyler and the Lord gifted us two sassy/sweet daughters that our world revolves around, Reese & Rory. We also have the cuddliest golden retriever named Cash. We are beginning to build our dream life, here in the Burlington area, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for my little family. Right now, I feel like I’m learning my purpose. I believe we all have different gifts, according to the grace given to us and how we are meant to share. For me, I’m trying to be teachable, show grace daily, and continue to help/lead others. Specifically, that means being the best I can be in all of my roles – prioritizing my roles as a wife and mom. The more I am able to better myself and allow Jesus to work in it, the better I can be to those most important to me.
